Mountain Adventure Award

Anaïs Puis « Cordon Aysén »

The Mountain Adventure Award has been granted to Anaïs Puig for her project "Cordon Aysén", an ambitious expedition deep into Chilean Patagonia, in the remote Aysén region at the southernmost tip of Chile. The jury, composed of renowned adventure sports figures such as Sean Villanueva O'Driscoll, Thomas de Dorlodot, and other experts, praised the originality, dedication, and team spirit driving this expedition. This exploration project, led by a diverse team of young adventurers, is a true testament to boldness and passion for the mountains. The award will enable the team to fulfill their dream and share their adventure with the world, thanks to a professional photographer-filmmaker ensuring high-quality coverage.

We are thrilled about this opportunity for our team to continue exploring this part of the world!
We’re doing our best to bring you great photos, valuable information, and hopefully even climb something exotic. Winning this prize makes us incredibly happy, and we hope this initiative inspires
more people to venture into these remote areas. Thank you so much!

Cinema Award

Alice Godart for "Les 9 doigts de ses mains"

The Cinema Award has been presented to director Alice Godart for her documentary film "Les 9 Doigts de Ses Mains". The jury, composed of distinguished figures such as Christopher Thompson, Juliette Goudot, Philippe Reynaert, and other film experts, was unanimously moved by the director’s profound perspective on the father-daughter bond. Her work delicately and insightfully addresses universal themes while shedding light on the rural world she comes from. Supported by Quentin Noirfalisse and Dancing Dog Productions, the film has been praised for its humanistic approach and outstanding production quality.

Seeing my film generate excitement even before it exists is incredibly valuable, and I am proud and
honored to have this opportunity thanks to the Bernard de Launoit Foundation—especially at a time when cultural funding is becoming increasingly fragile, and producing a documentary feels like an uphill battle.
This is my first film. I started it tentatively in 2016, driven by the desire to better understand my father and grasp the ambivalence between his farming reality and his youthful dreams of being a biker.
While this film tells the story of my relationship with him, it is also a testimony to today’s agricultural world, narrated from a rare, challenging, yet fascinating perspective.
I could never have embarked on this journey without the belief of others, and this award is a powerful push forward to help me complete the film. I am particularly moved to receive an award that honors bold and courageous projects, as this has undoubtedly been the most confronting adventure of my life—delving into notions of family ties and inheritance. The family films that have had the greatest impact on me are those where cinema creates transformation, and I believe in this power to help my father and me navigate our own evolution.
This funding will allow me to fully realize my ambitions and finance the final stages of the film in the
best possible conditions—especially post-production, a phase I am eagerly looking forward to after
nearly nine years of filming and countless twists and turns.
